Apply For Membership
Eligibility
Under Article 7 of the Articles of Association of the Society, Members are divided into three categories: Full Members, Associate Members and Honorary Members.
The basic requirements for admission to Full Membership are as follows:-

Any graduate or post-graduate of the School of Business of Hong Kong Baptist University ("HKBU") obtaining any one (or more) of the following academic qualification: postgraduate diploma, bachelor's degree, master's degree and/or doctoral degree in Corporate Governance and Directorship; or

Graduate or post-graduate of other universities with equivalent qualification; or
-
Any person who has contribution to the academic development and practice in Corporate Governance and has strong interest in the Objects of the Society.
The basic requirements for admission to Associate Membership are as follows:-

Any current or former full-time or part-time student of any course in studying Corporate Governance and Directorship conducted by any faculty of any university who has attended such course for not less than one full academic year; or

any current or former staff member of the faculty of any university conducting the course of Corporate Governance and Directorship.
The basic requirements for invitation to Honorary Membership are as follows:-

Any person who is considered to be dedicated in promoting the science and practice of Corporate Governance and Directorship and upon whom the Executive Committee of the Society confers the privilege of membership as a mark of honour or respect.
Application procedures
Application for Full Membership or Associate Membership shall be made on the prescribed application form signed by the applicant and delivered to the Chairman of the Membership sub-committee for consideration and acceptance by the Executive Committee, upon recommendation by the Membership sub-committee.
The applicant shall be notified in writing by the Secretary or the Chairman of the Membership sub-committee of the resolution of the Executive Committee in respect of his application as soon as practicable. The Executive Committee shall have the right of refusing any application for membership without assigning any reason therefore.

Please provide the most recent and/or relevant educational information and professional qualifications (completing this on additional sheets if necessary) or those that can reflect your qualification for election to Full/Associate Membership.
Incorrect or Misleading Information
If any information provided is revealed to be inaccurate or misleading, then the application is liable to be rejected and the admission fee will not be refunded.
Termination of Membership

Any member may withdraw from the Society by giving 7 days' prior notice in writing addressed to the Secretary of the Society and deposited at the registered office of the Society.

Any member who is convicted of any indictable offense shall, ipso facto, cease to be a member of the Society and who is proved, to the satisfaction of the Executive Committee, to have committed of any conduct prejudicial to the interest of the Society may be expelled from the Society.
